We have personally been involved with 'Kindermusik' offered by East Coast Music for nearly 4 years and in that time have continually grown in respect and appreciation for the foundation principles on which the courses are based.

The 'Kindermusik' program is unique in that it is based on best-practice educational models (developed through comprehensive research over many years and in many cultures) which focuses on maximising children's brain development (physical, cognitive, social and emotional) through music, movement, language, interaction and much more!

Through participating in 'Kindermusik' my children have learned so much more than just singing in tune (although they can do that too!). Most importantly, they have had the opportunity to begin to understand that learning itself can be joyful and fulfilling, but they have also learned valuable social skills such as listening, turn taking, sharing, interacting and so much more! And that is in addition to the specific musical skills that research has shown are so important in later academic learning.

'Kindermusik' has provided our family with the information, experiences and materials to assist us to nurture and enrich the lives and development of our own children and has helped us to make community networks that have further enhanced our lives and supported us in our often very difficult role of parenting the future citizens of Australia.
